Dancing On Ice 2023: Who Are The 11 Celebrities Who Will Take On Next Year's Ice Dancing Challenge?

Dancing On Ice returns in January for a fifteenth series. Which celebrities are preparing to lace up their skates and follow Regan Gascoigne to become the champion of 2023?

Who is part of the Dancing On Ice 2023 lineup?

Siva Kaneswaran

Popular lead singer Siva Kaneswaran is the 11th and final celebrity contestant confirmed for Dancing On Ice 2023.

Before joining the boy band in 2009, Dublin-born Siva had a brief career as a model and actress, appearing in ITV's X Factor-style drama Rock Rivals. Within a year of the show, Siva was selected from thousands of auditions to join Wanted, who had 10 UK Top 10 singles, including two number ones.

"I am very happy. I try to think positive and not worry!” said Siva. “I want to meet the whole cast. I want to learn to skate, my family will be proud of me and I want to put on a show for everyone to see and I don't want to be embarrassed!”

Michelle Heaton

Michelle Heaton rose to fame as part of the 2001 Popstars talent show Five Winner Liberty X. The group had seven UK Top 10 singles, including a number one hit. 1 Think about it.

"I'm so excited, I can't believe it," mother-of-two Michelle said of taking part in the 2023 Dancing on Ice Games. "Me and the guys in general are big fans of the show. I've always wanted to do it but I know I can't finish anything because of the circumstances of 18 months ago. So I'm being realistic." I'm so thankful for what I got this year and I'm so much stronger now.

Carley Stenson

Actress and singer Carly Stenson is best known to viewers for her role as 11-year-old Steph Cunningham in Hollyoaks, but it was her experience of late that allowed her to land a good role in Dancing On Ice 15.

Carly has appeared in West End shows including Legally Blonde, Shrek and Spamalot, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Les Miserables. "I'm so excited to learn ice dancing! I'm scared but I can't wait. I just want to make the most of this experience," she said.

Darren Harriott

Stand-up comedian Darren Harriott may have appeared on dozens of British TV shows, but did he catch too much with Dancing On Ice?

“I have huge feet, I don't skate and I can't dance! My family has already bet: they bet I fall in the first episode! he joked.

Darren had already tried his hand at celebrity challenges Bake Off and Celebrity Mastermind, and has appeared in Mock the Week, 8 of 10 Cats and Richard Osman's House of Games, as well as Live at the Apollo with host and guest.

Joey Essex

Joey Essex is the seventh confirmed celebrity for Dancing On Ice 2023, and beware: the TOWIE legend has already had reality TV.

In addition to finishing fourth in I'm A Celebrity 2013, Joey took the stepping stone in Splash! of ITV, showed up at Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins rehearsals in 2020 and competed in Celebrity MasterChef in 2019. And as the winner of Channel 4's 2015 ski jumping show The Jump, he's in line to do a double reality TV on winter sports.

“I would really like to win. I will put all my energy into it. I'm so ready for this stage in my life, ”Joey told This Morning hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.

Speaking about how he will feel after receiving comments from the judges, Joey said, "I'm doing this for me. I want to impress the jury, but I want to impress myself. I'm going to put all my energy into that."

The Vivienne

Welsh drag queen Vivienne rose to fame as the first winner of the UK version of RuPaul's Drag Race and returned earlier this year to compete in an All Stars season of the show.

Since winning, The Vivienne - who chose her name because she was known for wearing Vivienne Westwood clothes - has appeared on Celebrity Juice, The Weakest Link, Celebrity Mastermind and The Great British Sewing Bee.

“I am extremely happy to announce that I will be participating in Dancing on Ice in 2023! It's honestly a dream come true and I can't wait to start training on the ice,” she said.

To be the first drag performer to appear on one of the UK's top reality TV shows is truly an honor. I think it's a big step forward for queer representation on TV."

Mollie Gallagher

Actress Mollie Gallagher trades cobbles for ice as she becomes the fifth celebrity to be confirmed for Dancing On Ice 2023.

Mollie has played Roy Cropper's niece, Nina Lucas, since November 2019. In September 2021, she won Best Series Performance at the National Television Awards in recognition of her story in which she and her boyfriend Seb were brutally assaulted in a hate crime.

"I'm very excited. Strangely, I wasn't really nervous yet. But being here today, I kinda feel it now! said Mollie.

A number of Mollie's Corrie co-stars have been on Dancing On Ice over the years, including Samia Longchambon and Sally Dynevor, and she admitted she would look to them for advice. "I'll get every tip possible because I'm going to need it!" she joked.

Who are the Dancing On Ice presenters?

Holly Willoughby and Philip Scofield are returning to host the 15th series of Dancing On Ice. Phil appeared in all 14 series from 2006, with original host Holly hosting the first 6 series, before handing over to Christine Bleakley for the last 3 series of the original series. Another presenter joined the show as Stephen Mulhern joined his former children's TV co-star Holly for a week at the ice rink after Phil self-quarantined after testing positive for Covid last season.
